The Yield Point
UNDERSTAND. HEAL. MOVE FORWARD.

ABOUT ME
You should know who you're talking to
Choosing a therapist is a personal decision. On this page, you can find out more about me, how I work and what you can expect from therapy at The Yield Point.
You don't have to be good at therapy
Many of the man I work with worry about saying the wrong thing, not knowing where to start, or feeling like they should already have it all figured out.
You don't need a perfect explanation of what's happening. You don't need to know the perfect words to say. You just need to be willing to be honest and open.
Together we can make sense of what's been happening.
No pressure to have it all figured out
We'll take things at your pace.
We focus on understanding, not blame
Therapy isn't about willpower or shame
A supportive, non-judgemental space
You can talk openly about what's going on
Practical steps towards change
We work together on what will actually help

I won't just sit back and nod
My role isn't simply to listen and stay quiet. I'm an active therapist, which means I'll ask questions, notice patterns, and help you make connections.
I'll also offer ideas and practical strategies, drawing on my training and experience, to help you understand what's driving the behaviour and how to cerate lasting change.
Curiosity, not criticism
Many of the man I work with have spent a long time feeling frustrated with themselves, asking, "Why do I keep doing this when I know I want to stop?"
My approach is based on curiosity, not criticism. Instead of focussing on what's 'wrong' with you, we explore what's happening beneath the behaviours - including the thoughts, feelings, pressures and patterns that keep it going.
A practical approach
I draw on evidence-based therapies together with my specialist training in compulsive sexual behaviours.
We'll look at the bigger picture - your triggers, emotions, relationships and the environments that make change harder - and develop practical strategies that fit your life.
The work is collaborative and tailored to you, because there's no single approach that works for everyone.
A little about me
I'm a qualified counsellor and specialist in working with men experiencing compulsive sexual behaviour, including problematic pornography use.
I set up the Yield Point to provide accessible high-quality online therapy and practical resources for men who want to understand their behaviour, make positive changes and move forward.

Approach and professional standards
I'm a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in accordance with its Ethical Framework. I'm also a member of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Addiction and Compulsivity (ATSAC).
My approach is grounded in compassion, respect and a belief that everyone deserves to feel understood without fear of judgement. I aim to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore your experiences, understand your patterns and work towards changes that feel meaningful and align with your own values. I undertake regular supervision and continuing professional development to support my work and ensure I offer the best possible care.
