Frequently asked questions
What is the Yield Point Assessment?
The Yield Point Assessment is a free, structured questionnaire which I designed to help the men I work with to better understand the role compulsive pornography use or sexual behaviour may be playing in their lives. It explores not only the behaviour itself, but also the pressures, patterns and coping strategies that may be maintaining it.
How long does it take?
Most of my clients complete the assessment in around 5 minutes.
Will I receive a diagnosis?
Absolutely not! The assessment is not a diagnostic tool. I designed it to provide a personalised profile that helps my clients better understand their patterns and identify areas that may be worth exploring further.
What happens after I complete the assessment?
When you've finished, I'll personally prepare and email your Yield Point Profile.Inside you'll find:A summary of your responsesThe patterns and pressures influencing the behaviourPractical insights tailored to your resultsSuggestions for your next step
There's no pressure to book therapy afterwards. The report is yours to keep and use however you choose.
Who will see my answers?
Only me. Your responses are completely confidential and won't be shared with anyone else. They're used only to prepare your personalised Yield Point Profile.
What if I'm not ready for therapy?
That's absolutely fine. Many people complete the assessment simply to gain a better understanding of themselves. There is no obligation to book therapy afterwards.
What if I'm not sure my behaviour is a problem?
You don't need to be sure. Many men take the assessment because they're wondering whether their behaviour has become a problem. If it's leaving you feeling uneasy, conflicting with your values, or affecting your relationships, this is a good place to start.
Can I complete the assessment more than once?
Of course. Some of my clients have found it helpful to repeat the assessment after a period of therapy as a way to reflect on how their understanding and patterns have changed over time.
What types of behaviour does the assessment cover?
The assessment can be completed for a range of compulsive sexual behaviours, including problematic pornography use, compulsive masturbation, repeated affairs, anonymous sexual encounters, paid sexual services, and other sexual behaviours that feel difficult to control or are causing distress.
